On March 31, 2023 at 08:56 am, Wilmington Police responded to the intersection of Shawsheen Avenue and Moore Street for a report of a motor vehicle crash between a car and a school bus.
From the initial investigation, it was determined that the operator of a Subaru Forester was exiting Moore Street and crashed into the side of the school bus that was traveling east on Shawsheen Avenue.
There were 7 students on the school bus at the time of the crash. Neither the bus driver, nor any of the students were injured. The operator of the Forester sustained minor injuries and refused medical transport.
The operator of the Forester was cited at the scene for Failure to Yield at an Intersection. The crash remains under investigation by the Wilmington Police Department.
