Procedure for Requesting Sex Offender Information:

Download the Sex Offender Request Form. Fill out the form and drop it off at the Police Department. After dropping off your request allow 2 to 3 business days for processing. Lt. Chris Ahern will contact you and schedule an appointment on when to come in and pick up your request. Note: The applicant must come in with proper identification. The list cannot be mailed or e-mailed. The form is in a PDF format and if you are unable to download and print a copy of this request, you can pick one up at the Police Station.

SEX OFFENDER REGISTRY INFORMATION SHALL NOT BE USED TO COMMIT A CRIME OR TO ENGAGE IN ILLEGAL DISCRIMINATION OR HARASSMENT OF AN OFFENDER. ANY PERSON WHO USES INFORMATION DISCLOSED PURSUANT TO M.G.L. C. 6, §§ 178C – 178Q FOR SUCH PURPOSES SHALL BE PUNISHED BY NOT MORE THAN TWO AND ONE HALF (2 ½) YEARS IN A HOUSE OF CORRECTION OR BY A FINE OF NOT MORE THAN ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($1000.00) OR BOTH (M.G.L. C. 6, § 178N). IN ADDITION, ANY PERSON WHO USES REGISTRY INFORMATION TO THREATEN TO COMMIT A CRIME MAY BE PUNISHED BY A FINE OF NOT MORE THAN ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100.00) OR BY IMPRISONMENT FOR NOT MORE THAN SIX (6) MONTHS ( M.G.L. C. 275, § 4).

 

Sex Offenders that live or work in Wilmington

Pursuant to M.G.L. c. 6  s. 178C-178P, the individuals who appear on these notifications have been designated Level 3 Sex Offenders by the Sex Offender Registry Board. The Board has determined that these individuals are at a high risk to reoffend and that the degree of dangerousness posed to the public is such that a substantial public safety interest is served by active community notification. These individuals are NOT wanted by the police. Any and all registered level 3 sex offenders living or working in the Town of Wilmington will be posted here.
