The Wilmington Police Department is thrilled to invite residents to a community-focused event that combines coffee, conversation, and an important initiative to ensure the safety of our youngest residents. Join us for “Coffee With the Cops and Child Safety Seat Checkpoint” on May 25, from 10:30 am to noon, at the Yentile Farm Recreational Facility.
This event aims to foster stronger bonds between law enforcement officers and the community we serve, while also promoting child passenger safety. We encourage all residents to participate and take advantage of this unique opportunity to connect with our dedicated police officers in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
Complimentary coffee will be provided for all attendees. You’ll have the opportunity to engage in friendly conversations, get to know our officers on a personal level, and gain insights into their daily work to keep our community safe.
During the event, we will have certified child passenger safety technicians available to provide free child safety seat inspections. Ensuring that your child’s car seat is properly installed and meets the necessary safety standards is crucial to protect their well-being in case of an accident. Our officers will offer guidance, answer questions, and provide valuable tips to parents and guardians regarding child passenger safety.
Please mark your calendars for May 25, and spread the word about this wonderful event among your friends, family, and neighbors. Let’s come together to strengthen the bond between law enforcement and our community, while ensuring the safety of our precious children on the road.
We look forward to seeing you at the Yentile Farm Recreational Facility on May 25 for an enjoyable morning of Coffee With the Cops and Child Safety Seat Checkpoint!
Stay safe, Wilmington!
