Wilmington’s annual Fun On The Fourth festival begins tonight. Handicapped parking as well as general parking will be available in the main lot at Wilmington High School. General parking will also be available at Saint Thomas Church. There will be no parking on School Street, Drury Lane, or at the Wilmington Senior Center.
The following road closures will be in effect from approximately 4:30 pm – 11:00 pm:
- Middlesex Avenue will be closed between Adams Street & Church Street
- Drury Lane & School Street will be open to residents only. No through traffic will be allowed.
- Church Street will be closed for a short period of time between Adams Street & Glen Road for the beginning of the road race which kicks off at 6:30 pm.
The WPD Community Policing Trailer is stationed in the grassy area near the corner of School Street and Middlesex Ave. Lost & found items can be dropped off at the trailer. Police Officers will be stationed throughout the entire festival area for anyone that may need assistance.
