Ginger has been located! Ginger, a newly rescued Basenji-Chihuahua mix, was reported missing on March 22 after taking off from her new owner. There have been several sightings of Ginger along the railroad tracks near Glen Rd since she went missing. This afternoon, two Keolis North America employees, Sarah Palumbo and Scott Lombard, saw Ginger next to the tracks and called Wilmington Animal Control. ACO Chris Sullivan responded to the area and located Ginger with the assistance of Mr. Lombard & Ms. Palumbo. ACO Sullivan reported that Ginger was tired, scared, and needed some medical attention, but looks like she’ll be OK. She was transported to Massachusetts Veterinary Hospital in Woburn for treatment. On behalf of Ginger’s family, The Wilmington Police Department wants to thank all of the residents and Keolis employees who kept a watchful eye our for Ginger.
