The following is an update from the Wilmington Department of Public Works regarding an update to the sewer work at the intersection of Woburn Street and Lowell Street:
Construction crews working in the intersection encountered a fair amount of ledge during last week’s work, which slowed the progress of the sewer installation. It appears the crews are now out of the ledge and have made good progress at the end of last week.
The contractor will be looking to wrap up work for the winter this week. As such, the Woburn Street leg of the intersection is expected to be closed this week to accommodate the final stages of work for the winter.
